Purpose: To analyze the related factors that affect the hardness of the bristles, to compare the plaque removal effects of toothbrushes with different hardness and different materials, to study the effect of toothbrushes on the brushing effect, and to guide residents to choose suitable toothbrushes according to the situation.
Method 1. Measure the diameter of the bristles of different toothbrushes, measure the relevant parameters of the toothbrush, calculate the hardness of the toothbrush through the relevant parameters, and analyze the correlation between the diameter of the toothbrush and the hardness of the toothbrush. The subjects of the study were 4 groups of volunteers, each with 10 people. The experimenter randomly selected a toothbrush to brush the volunteers' teeth. The modified Navy plaque 3 was modified by Rustugi and others. Another choice was made by the same manufacturer with 14 nylon toothbrushes and 14 toothbrushes with the same specifications. The experimenter randomly selected toothbrushes for two groups of volunteers to brush their teeth, with 14 in each group. The same method as above was used to detect the effect of plaque removal. 4. The in vitro brushing module was used to obtain the cleaning power images before and after the simulated brushing of the toothbrushes with different bristles of different hardness, as well as the results of the nylon toothbrush and the sharpening wire: 1. Correlation analysis shows that the diameter of the nylon toothbrush and the sharpening wire toothbrush There is no obvious correlation with hardness (P>0.05). However, in nylon toothbrushes, the toothbrush filament hardness and filament diameter are significantly positively correlated (r = 0.862, P = 0.001). 2. The average plaque index of different hardness toothbrushes after brushing was significantly lower than before brushing (P <0.05); the plaque removal rate of different hardness toothbrushes was only significantly different in the smooth surface area of the front teeth, where A Group was significantly higher than that of group D (P <0.05); while other toothbrushes with different hardness had no significant difference in plaque clearance in the gingival margin area and adjacent gap area (P>0.05). 3. Nylon toothbrushes and sharpened toothbrushes of the same specification produced by the same manufacturer had a significantly lower average plaque index after brushing than before brushing (P <0.05); in the smooth surface area, wrinkle edge area and adjacent gap area of the front teeth, etc. In different regions, the plaque removal rate of the nylon toothbrush was higher than that of the worn tip toothbrush, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). 4. The results of the simulated brushing experiment of toothbrushes with different hardness of various bristles showed that the cleaning power value of group A was significantly higher than that of group C and group D (P <0.05). ; Nylon wire brush and sharpened wire toothbrush simulated brushing experiment results show that the cleaning power value of nylon wire toothbrush is significantly higher than that of sharpened wire toothbrush (P<0.05), which is consistent with the results of the plaque removal rate of the oral brushing experiment. Resolution: 1. The plaque index of toothbrushes of different hardness and materials after brushing was significantly lower than before. 2. Toothbrush hardness occurs 3. The plaque removal effect of nylon toothbrushes of the same specification produced by the same manufacturer is significantly offset from the sharpening. Wire brush. 4. The cleaning power value detection method of the extraoral image is consistent with the results of the intraoral brushing plaque removal rate. The cleaning power detection method can detect the cleaning effect of the toothbrush and can be used to guide the selection of the toothbrush.
